That's a wrap! It was a long process, but we are finished with principal photography for Heroine. Tonight was our most taxing shoot of this whole project. Starting with a drunk person side swiping one of our talents parked cars (no one was injured), the night progressed with audio issues, pedestrians and traffic, and breakers popping, but we got through it. I have to thank our amazing cast and crew for sticking with us throughout this whole production. A thanks goes out to Pete and everyone that works at The Peacock Room for allowing us to shoot the exterior of their great establishment. Now we are going to be in the editing room putting everything together. We can't wait to share this with you. A lot of time and effort has gone into this piece. I know we are excited to see where it goes. Pre-production on our next project will be beginning very soon. Stay posted for the official announcement. See you out there.
This past Saturday we shot our second round of footage for Heroine. There were a few hang ups with locations for this scene. After postponing the shoot for a week, we locked down Will's Pub. Will's had everything we needed for this set-up, and is a great place to shoot. We had some extras come out to fill in our concert scene, thanks to them. Allison filled in as our bartender last minute, so a big thank you goes out to her. This shoot was very quick and to the point. On our first day, we knocked out eleven pages of the script. The second day we covered one. However, it is a vital scene for the over all story. We have one more day of shooting on this project, then it's off to the editing room for a while. We are all very excited about this project. Everything is looking great. We've been shooting exclusively on the RED ONE. Can not wait to share this with everyone. See you out there.
Our first day of production is done. We wrapped up on our mall location this past Saturday, and shot a montage scene. Our actors really delivered some great performances. We had a great collection of crew that really pulled through in some tight situations. The Fashion Square Mall proved to be a great location. They were very accommodating to all of our needs. Due to location issues and scheduling conflicts, we had to reschedule our music venue scene until further notice. We are trying to lock everything down for this weekend, so hopefully everything works out. Everyone will be informed as soon as we have the details of the re-shoot. I am very excited to move into post with this project. There will be behind the scene footage and photos soon, so keep checking the site for those. Great stuff on the way, expect updates soon.
We are going into production tomorrow for Heroine. This project began back in June, and to be one day away from production seems a little surreal. From locking locations to casting, this hasn't been an easy feat. Tomorrow will show if all of our hard work has paid off. The cast has been great through all of the rehearsals, so it'll be exciting to show their definitive takes on these characters. We've been working on camera tests for a dialogue montage sequence, plus rewrites, crewing, casting extras, and funding. This project has taught us so much, and it definitely has us excited for the next project. We are trying to finish Heroine by mid October, then we are hoping to hit the road with it. All and all, this has been a great experience thus far, and as long as the production goes well, I believe we'll have a very nice piece to share with the world. We'll find out. See you out there.
We are in the pre-production stages for a short film that we are producing titled Heroine. This project has been in development since early June. It is great to see everything start to come together. We have cast a great group of talented young actors and actresses. There are still roles to be fill however. We have a pile of head shots and resumes from people that we are planning on getting in touch with this week to start filling our roster. Crewing this project is also underway. This will be the first short film that we have produced to be shot entirely on the RED ONE. Production is scheduled to start in mid. September. As this project gains momentum, there is another short moving into the development stage. This will be an ongoing trend for the remainder of the year and hopefully into the next. Keep checking the site for more information.
Our new featured video is the Sunrise Wealth Advisors commercial we shot a few months back. This commercial has just started airing on Brighthouse networks, and will continue to air for the next three months. This was a great project to work on. The guys at Sunrise Wealth Advisors are great, and we hope to work with them again in the future. Chuck Konefes did the graphic animations on this video, and did a great job.
